Superbowl XLVI is just around the corner and we are here to provide you a little inspiration for your kick off celebrations!

Buffalo Wing Dip
2 12.5 oz. cans of chicken drained and shredded
2 8oz. blocks of cream cheese softened
1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup of ranch dressing
6 oz. hot sauce

Combine above ingredents and bake at 350 degrees for 30 min.
Serve with chips and/or celery sticks
Enjoy!

We are very excited to be working with Taylor and Billy this summer! They are just the cutest couple and we are very excited to be doing their rehearsal dinner!

We were first contacted about doing the couples wedding in April when we were first introducing our boutique line. Excited, we got right to work dreaming up possibilities! The funny thing was we didn't have a color scheme. Not long after we started brain storming Taylor contacted us with her color scheme. Hold on to your seats... WE HAD CHOSEN THE EXACT SAME COLOR SCHEME!!

Crazy to think that just from a brief meeting about her wedding we could match her style so perfectly! Here is the inspiration board for the rehearsal dinner. Below are descriptions:

The couple wanted to create a shabby chic feel with lawn games and a sweet summery color pallet of sage green, light dusty rose pink, with accents of gray and champagne. (Excuse the photo quality!)

1. Glass window panes will act as a back drop for the food table. Window panes will offer sweet nothings to guest through quotes inscribed in the panes.

2. This beautiful floral arrangement demonstrates both the use of floral accents and the color scheme we will be using.

3. A fun life size checker board will stand in as one of the game stations!

4. The couple and guest will want to document every moment so why not add some flair! Fun props will allow the couple and their guest to get creative at a shabby chic photo booth!

5. Ladder Tennis and Croquet will also be a part of the yard games. Completed with shabby chic signs!

6. Staying with our shabby chic theme Perfect Pairings will transform mason jars into personalized center pieces. Complete with photos and votives. DIY's to come!

7. No buffet table is complete without a personalized banner! The dining table will commemorate the moment with a sweet “Mr. & Mrs.” banner to celebrate the couple.

8. Corn hole stands in as a casual treat to get guest mingling!

9. And no compellation of law games is complete without a little Bocce ball!

10. Rounding out the lawn games will be a combo volleyball and badminton court.

11. No table-scape is complete without custom labels for both food and beverage.

12. Tissue paper pom poms in the couples color pallet will top off the buffet table!

13. Bet you were wondering about that photo-booth! Here a printed linen sheet suspended from the trees will give the dinner a chic feel while making lots of memories.

14. Vintage frames in coordinating colors will house lawn game instructions as well as photos of the couple. Frames will be placed next to game stations as well as on buffet table and guest tables.

15. Vintage signs will be placed at the entrance to the venue as well as at game stations and the photo-booth.

Cinco De Mayo Reveal!

What better way to celebrate Cinco de Mayo and the end of our Senior year of college than to combine a delicious nacho bar, virgin mixed drinks, games, and great friends! Our guests loved our assortment of tasty toppings to go with their nachos. We had everything from homemade guacamole and pico de gallo to some spicy hot jalapeño poppers. Add in a "make your own" virgin daiquiri bar and some festive music and you've got a party!

Wedding Season

They royal wedding was so beautiful! The dress, the church, the love!
I could go on and on!

Spring Formal {Black & Yellow}

Sometimes even the best laid plans go awry....
It all stated with the venue. We had great locations picked but for some reason or another they kept falling through. But we had another trick up our sleeve, we went to our stand by... La Quinta!
The location is quick and easy and super affordable. And better yet they pretty much let us do whatever our hearts desire!

Venue Check! Decorations Check! Well maybe....
You'll notice our center pieces below... Yep those are live fish! ... A week before I went to the pet store to price them and make sure they would have plenty for the following week. Check and check. Well the big day arrived and while making my last minute stops I headed to the pet store. After waiting a while for someone I decided to head back to the fish tanks where an employee was helping another customer. Something caught my eye though... the tank I had seen the Saturday before had disappeared! Well after waiting some more I finally was able to find out that just that Friday morning they came in to 500 gallons of water and fish all over the floor! The tank had burst! Poor fish! Needless to say after calling the only other pet store in town with no luck I made the 2 hour trek there and back to Winston we had our fish! All 10 of them! But that wasn't the end of it...one didn't like the trip down and thankfully I found a similar replacement at the original pet store.

Disasters averted! .... Not quite. Last but not least our buffet center piece, the cupcake stand, came apart! But we rearranged and it still looked great! Shew!

All in all the night was a great success! We danced the night away, had a great DJ, and wonderful photographer to top it all off!

ASU!

Punch on either end with cupcakes placed throughout. Alternating black and yellow tissue paper made a perfect foundation for all our goodies! Lights wrapped in a boa weaved throughout the table.

Live fish inside glass cylinders with a floating candle on top made the perfect center piece!

What a great way to end the semester and our senior year! So much fun!

Cupcake Stand Reveal!

Just a few glass plates of different sizes, 3 candle holders and some gorilla glue is all it took to make this glass stand a PERFECT addition to our business. This week we used it to display our hair accessories from our P.P. Boutique. It was a huge hit!!

It all started with...

A cupcake.

And then there were these cheapy looking cupcake stands that really weren't versatile.

Now don't get me wrong. I think these are cute and perfectly themed but what if you could have a stand that served any theme!? Insert creative juices! AND a trip to the oh so exclusive Wal-mart with a dash of Hobby Lobby!

I first saw this pretty lady. (Isn't she beautiful!) But then I had trouble finding her partners. :( Needless to say she was too complicated. And slightly too frilly to be as versatile as we needed her to be. I mean a little boy liking frillys?I've heard of it but not so much. And then there was there were these little beauties...

I snatched up three sizes of these glass plates. The largest being about 12'' in diameter and the smallest, a tea cup saucer of sorts, coming in at about 6" in diameter.

Now bear with me because I failed to take pictures of the candle holders I actually bought but they are similar to this only clear and with a bit wider base on top and more of a bubble in the middle.

Add a dash of gorilla glue (clear of course) and we are on our way! Finished product to come. But just think of all the ways you could dress up this beauty! She's like a blank canvas just screaming to be painted! Eeek! Can't wait to reveal!

And We're Back

Long time no see! Apparently being a senior in college is more work than we thought! :)

So lets get down to business now that we have a minute to actually breathe! With out further a do, as promised, the picnic potluck reveal, mother daughter sneak peak, and a fun creative quick get together!

Picnic Potluck

To go with the picnic theme we used all plastic cutlery,simple solo glasses ( we served only tea and bug juice :) "Pink Lemonade") , and lastly quick and easy Styrofoam plates.

Funny story, if you noticed in the sneak peak post I mentioned wanting a six pack of glass Coke bottles. Now I don't know if it's because we are in a small town or what but you would think being far enough South we would be able to find them! But sadly no. So crush it was and apparently it did its job well because everyone wanted one!

Simple pails from Wal-Mart served as cutlery holders.

And a picnic wouldn't be complete without a few friends! These guys are the product of some Styrofoam balls, pipe cleaners, black spray paint, and a little hot glue!

Tie it all together and VIOLA! Picnic Pot luck in a flash!

This is such a fun idea! And it requires little effort on the host/hostess. The idea here is that each guest comes dress as a holiday! Now if your having trouble find a holiday have no fear! There are plenty of calendars out there that claim everyday a holiday, like this one.

Here are just some ideas for you based on our Calendar party!

Grand parents day-Dress like an elderly person
Valentines day- Wear pinks and reds and hearts
Cinco de Mayo- Sombrero, bold colors, maracas

Need an inexpensive but cute gift idea for a friend?

I have a group of around 10 close friends and of course I try to buy them birthday and holiday gifts when the time comes around. Being the price conscious shopper I am, I try to purchase inexpensive items, and then personalize them to create value.

For example, one of my friends loves to write and to draw. So, I went to TJ Maxx where they sell the cutest stationary for under $5.00. I purchased a stationary set that included 3 different size tablets of paper and a pen. I then wrote a sweet note on one of the top pages, wrapped it in some pretty paper from Dollar Tree and there you go! A cute, personalized gift for around five bucks!

Because I purchase gifts so often, I make it a habit to take advantage of deals at stores. For example, if I go to Wal-Mart after one of their holiday sales (after Valentine’s Day or Christmas) I buy huge bags of candy for 50%-75% off and store it to use later in goodie bags for gifts.

My inspiration: The $1 rack.

Oh how I love stores that have $1 sections. These sections at Michaels and Target are my favorite! I like to stock up on birthday cards, magnets, notebooks, stickers, ribbon, and odds and ends that I can use for spur of the moment gifts.

All of these super cute cards came in packages of 8 and only cost $1 at Michaels. I got the flower vase and flowers, the candle and the pretty pink cup at Dollar Tree...ALL for $1! Bath & Body Works sells mini hand sanitizer bottles in your favorite scents for $1.50. A great deal!

Looking for something personalized, uplifting, and inexpensive? My friend gave me this picture frame ($1 at Dollar Tree) with one of her favorite verses written in it. Customize it even more with some ribbon, sequins, or small pictures!

In this economy, consumers are constantly looking for ways to save, you just have to know where to look and be creative!

Cookies & Crafts Party

Thinking of something to do on a cool cloudy Saturday afternoon? Yesterday, I hosted a small "get together" at my apartment for my sisters and long time girl friends. These girls LOVE eating sweet treats and being crafty so I thought of some cute ideas to do!

First station: Cookie decorating! We ate delicious snacks while using icing, sprinkles, and candy to creatively decorate one of our favorite desserts.

Next station: Mod Podge picture frames using magazine cut outs! This is a great way to break out your creative side by cutting words, letters, or pictures out of your favorite magazines while getting to chat with your friends. We had a blast finding words and phrases that described each other and then getting to embellish our frames with sequins, ribbons, paint, and jewels.

Pot Luck Inspirations

March 3 we are hosting a pot luck supper for our sorority and brother fraternity.So we got to thinking and the following week is our universities spring break, so what better way to kick in spring than with a indoor picnic! (We practically live in a snow globe so indoor is the only way to go!) Here are some inspirations for our picnic:

Step One:Grass We are going to pull the outside in! Because this is a pot luck we are going to have a buffet style set up so a grass table cloth will serve as our first layer.

Step Two: Layer again! If you've ever seen the grass table cloth you'll know it's not the greatest. And who can have an indoor picnic with out a blanket? Insert checkered cloth.

Step Three: A picnic with out a picnic basket!? Not here!

Step Four: Pesky critters! But only the cute friendly kind! We will transform these styrofoam balls into friendly dinner time guest.

And Last but not least...

Step Five: What's a picnic without an ice cold coke!?
